Employment Application

Nurse Practitioner/Outpatient Pain Management

-Perform patient history and physical examinations.

-Review referral and OV notes from PCP and other specialists.

-Diagnose, treat, and manage chronic pain.

-Documentation in EMR with proficiency in typing and dictating.

-Order and interpret radiologic and laboratory studies

-Prescribe medications indicated to treat pain and related symptoms.

-Monitor patient compliance with controlled substances.

-Provide education to patients regarding their conditions, expected treatment and outcomes, and proper use of prescribed medications.

-Demonstrate strong communication skills with patients.

-Consult with providers and different specialties when necessary to help collaborate patient care.

-Work well as a team and will other departments to meet the practice goal of providing continuity and quality care

-Attend and contribute to team meetings

-Stay up-to-date with medical knowledge, specific to the musculoskeletal and nervous systems.

Patient Care Representative

New York Spine and Wellness Center, the regional leader in providing chronic pain services to CNY has an opening for a full-time Patient Care Representative.

This position is vital to the operation of the office, as the first and last face patients see when entering and exiting our offices. This role is responsible for delivering excellent customer service to our patients all while scheduling appointments, answering phones, managing schedules and handling insurance follow-ups and authorizations.

This role requires excellent communication and customer service skills. Must be able to rotate between our North Syracuse, Dewitt, and Camillus locations.

Qualified candidates must have excellent communication and customer service skills. HS diploma required, associate's degree preferred. At least one year of customer service experience preferred. Strong computer skills are a must. Must be courteous, efficient and able to multi-task in a fast pace setting.

Salary range for the role $17.00-$25.71 DOE

Authorization Representative

Job description

New York Spine and Wellness Center, the regional leader in providing chronic pain services to CNY has an opening for a full-time Workers Comp and private insurance Authorization Representative.

The Authorization Representative is responsible for obtaining authorizations from workers comp and private insurances for procedures/injections performed in our office and at our surgery centers. This position will also be responsible for scheduling, calls to insurance companies, calls/questions from internal staff and patients, and point of service collections, while utilizing AllScripts (our EHR program).

Qualified candidates must have excellent communication and customer service skills. HS diploma required, Associates Degree preferred. At least one year of experience in authorizations and experience using Veradigm and Altera is preferred. Strong computer skills are a must. Must be courteous, efficient and able to multi-task in a fast pace setting.

Starting rate of pay $17.00-25.71 DOE

Clinical Assistants

New York Spine and Wellness Center the regional leader in providing chronic pain services to CNY has openings for full time MA’s, CNA’s and LPN’s. At our specialty practice you will have the opportunity to expand your knowledge in the science of pain management and therapeutic services.

As a clinical support staff member you will work collaboratively both under supervision and independently to provide direct and indirect patient care in a team oriented environment. You will enjoy coming to work every day knowing that your efforts will make people’s lives better. Your days will be busy, varied and interesting and you will function in a team that includes CNA’s, MA’s LPN’s, RN’s NP’s, PA’s and MD’s.

Responsibilities include facilitating timely movement of patients from the waiting area to the exam room for patient intake utilizing our EHR system. This would include vitals, sample collection, assisting patients with health screenings, brace fittings and basic data entry while providing a high level of patient customer care. You will be assigned tasks, designated activities and functions for which you will receive training in accordance with our policies and procedures. Staff must be able to work in a united effort to achieve team goals set forth by the practice.

Staff will work on a rotation basis between our East Syracuse, North Syracuse and Camillus offices. Our work schedule includes an 8-hour day shift Monday through Friday.

Starting rate of pay $17.00-$21.48 DOE
